The obverse depicts two Curtiss products, a P-40 fighter and a C-46 transport, flanking an Army-Navy "E" pennant as described above. WITH: cast copper finish medal, 3" dia., double sided, issued to employees of the Curtiss-Wright Corporation's Airplane Division, Plants One and Two in Buffalo New York. Companies who won the award would receive a larger, double-sided version of this pennant from the War Department. 17 1/2" x 8 1/2", of red and blue felt, emblazoned with a white "E" within a gold wreath, and with "Army" and "Navy" on either side. Includes: two-piece swallowtail pennant, approx. ![]() ![]() Good lot of three items, all related to the Army-Navy "E" Award, presented to companies who achieved "Excellence in Production" of military goods during World War II. ![]()
